How we compare clinics
A hair transplant is surgery with a permanent result. That is why we look beyond price and focus on who operates and how well patients are looked after before and after the procedure.
The five criteria
Medical expertise
Who performs the critical steps? Specialist involvement, years of experience, focus on hair surgery.
Diagnostics & aftercare
Assessment before surgery (trichoscopy, blood tests) and structured in-person check-ups over 12 months.
Price transparency
Public price list, clearly defined services, no hidden extra costs.
Value for money
Price per graft relative to what is included, financing options.
Patient reviews
Google rating (as of October 2026).
Data sources
We analyse publicly available information: clinic websites and price lists, details on doctors and methods, and Google reviews. The comparison currently covers 14 clinics in German-speaking Switzerland, updated October 2026. Prices change; the clinic's written quote is always binding.
How the score is calculated
Each criterion is rated on a scale of 1 to 10 and weighted as shown above to produce the overall score. We weight diagnostics and aftercare as highly as medical expertise, because the months after surgery help determine the result.
